The London apartments we cover on this page are right in the middle of London, what Americans would call the downtown district.
Locally this is known as the West End district and is the main focus for theatres, shopping and entertainment.
We also include Victoria, just to the south of the West End and a main gateway for rail and coach links into London.
It perhaps goes without saying that this is the most expensive area for accommodation in London. Mayfair, where some of the apartments are located is the most exclusive area of the West End to stay.

Just to the west of the West End is Hyde Park and Kensington. This is a more residential area than the West End and if you are going to eat in there are more food outlets. Most food stores in the West End are orinetated towards convenience stores to eat on the go or exclusive produce at high prices. The Kensington area is also normally much cheaper for the same accommodation than the West End despite only being a mile or two distant.
