Bloomsbury
At the heart of the Bloomsbury area is the British Museum and the University of London.
Like many of the major museums and art galleries in London the British Museum has free entry except for special exhibitions and is open until late many nights.
The tower of the University is a landmark that can be used for orientation from most parts of the district. At the north end of Bloomsbury is a large hospital and medical associations.
Garden Squares
A feature of the Bloomsbury area are the Garden Squares. All of the squares pictured below have plenty of seating, statues, lawns etc. Hotel accommodation around them is particularly nice.
Russell Square has a small cafe. Most have very tame grey squirrels which will delight the kids. Coram's Fields is a larger park by Great Ormond's Street Hospital with more facilities for kids.
