Premier Inn along with Travelodge are the two leading no frills budget chain hotels in the UK in terms of numbers of hotels. Both are expanding fast. Premier Inn is perceived as the 'quality' no frill budget chain and is accordingly priced over Travelodge.
The Travelodge Euston is almost opposite the Premier Inn, rates are almost always cheaper here but the hotel is much more basic and much less frills than the Premier Inn.
Each of the Premier Inn rooms have a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, Freeview TV and almost all have WiFi. Shower gel, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer are standard. Powerful showers in all rooms and baths in most.
Family rooms that sleep four are available with cots should you need them.
As in all Premier Inn hotels you'll find a restaurant and bar serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and refreshments. Breakfasts are eat as much as you like buffet style.
The location of the Premier Inn makes it handy for St Pancras and Kings Cross Stations too, only 5 minutes walk down the Euston Road. There are a wide variety of restaurants and pubs in the area, plus snack based outlets in Euston Station. With 5 underground lines on your doorstep and a myriad of bus routes you can be most places you want to go in London within 15 minutes.

Premier Inn Euston - Typical Reviews
"Having stayed here for 11 years it's always been great value for money . My biggest disappointment is the upgraded enviro friendly poor bedroom lighting! Glow worms! It's great location, good breakfast better than Holiday Inn and helpful staff. I recommend this hotel for economy, cleanliness and staff. "
"My wife and I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. Premier Inn London Euston is by far the best we’ve stayed at in London. Now don’t get me wrong it is not as luxurious as say the Savoy or Dorchester but it also doesn’t cost £300+ a night. It has all you could want from a city centre hotel. We don’t have anything negative to say about it so here is out list of positives. The staff members were all courteous, helpful, happy and efficient; whoever is doing their in-house training deserves a raise.
We arrived after a terrible overnight train journey into Euston at about 8am. We went to drop our cases off and the receptionist checked that there was a room free and allowed us to book in straight away; fantastic as it allowed us to sleep for 4 hours and then enjoy the rest of our day.
The hotel is only a five-minute stroll (2 minute march) from London Euston Station. The location is fantastic; sites like the British museum are within walking distance and most others (National Gallery, Parliament, Westminster Abbey etc) 2 – 5 stops on the underground, also at Euston. The room itself was typical Premier Inn, great bed, plenty of space, flat screen Freeview TV, tea and coffee making facilities in room, a good bath and a decent shower. I said we had no negatives but one small comment, if you pack heavy (who does these days) you might be short of a bit of cupboard space. The room although on Euston road was quiet due to the double-glazing.
For convenience sake we had the meal deal for dinner on the first night and breakfast the following morning, for London it is a steal. 3 courses (albeit from a set menu, but plenty to choose from including vegetarian) with a glass of wine, or a pint of beer or a soft drink with an all you can eat breakfast for £22 each, brilliant.
The breakfast was a revelation for a budget chain, Cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, Fruit juice, bread, crumpets, warm croissants, tea and coffee and a large go back as much as you like hot buffet, sausages, eggs (fried, scrambled, boiled, poached), bacon, beans tomatoes, mushrooms. The breakfast manager (sorry I didn’t get his name) was a real live wire and great at his job. Warm, welcoming and always on the go to keep things moving even at the busiest of times. If his staff takes inspiration from him it’s no wonder they are so good.
We’e stayed at (amongst others) the Novotel and Hilton, we won’t be going back. The Premier Inn London Euston (if it stays the same) will always be our choice in London from now on, well done. "
"Just stayed at the Premier Inn, Euston. What a lovely stay, staff where very friendly and informative. The food especially at breakfast was excellent with a choice of cold or hot buffet style. Dinner was good with plenty of choice they even had an offer on of £12.95 for either starter, main meal or main meal with a dessert. I would definately use them again.
The rooms to the back of the hotel where a little dark due to the surrounding buildings but I would think where definately quieter than being on the front as it was very close to Euston Station and on a main road."
"Hotel snobs won't be reading this anyway, but for the rest of us...I have been staying at the Novotel and having re-visited the Premier Inn, I have been wasting my money in the Novotel. This Premier Inn ticks every box - easy to reserve, the price is what it says, the front of house staff/reception is excellent (try checking into the Novotel - it takes ages), the room I had was top notch, clean, well-equipped (although couldn't find a shaver point), the bed was roomy and comfortable....much better than Novotel, and quiet. But it was away from Euston Road - this is important because I guess a road-front room could be noisy. Restaurant quick, convenient, great staff, and a fine choice of food and drinks at sensible prices, as well as an in-house Costa. This place is great value for money, and really right up there with it's (much pricier) 4 and 5 star competitors. "
