Situated to the west of London in a residential area the Ibis Kensington is ideal for those flying into eirther Heathrow or Gatwick airports. West Brompton has direct rail links most days to Gatwick and the Underground to Heathrow is also convenient.
Although essentially a 'no frills' budget hotel chain the Ibis Earls Court Kensington has a popular pub and restaurant on-site. Across the road from the Ibis are several pubs and cafes where you can get breakfast away from the hotel. A short walk to Earls Court brings the fast food chains like McDonalds and KFC.
The Ibis Kensington has all of the amenities and facilities you would expect of any Ibis hotel. This hotel features a restaurant, a bar, meeting facilities and parking (at an extra charge).
The standard double rooms have en-suite facilities, hair dryer, TV/radio, tea & coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone and modem connection.
Breakfast is not included in the room rate, though of course a buffet or English breakfast is available in the restaurant.
Room rates tend to be cheaper at the weekend, but not if Chelsea FC have a game.

Typical Reviews Ibis Earls Court Kensington
"I have used the Ibis Earls Court on a number of occasions for business stays in London. My expectations of hotels, especially in London, are generally pretty low so as to avoid being disappointed. Owners who don't have to work too hard to get business and poorly paid staff make for poorly motivated hosts. That said, this Ibis (and others I have used elsewhere in the Uk and Spain) provide clean, functional if not luxurious space to stay.
Breakfast offers plenty of choice and apart from fairly dreadful coffee, it's reasonable value. I haven't eaten dinner there so can't comment, but if it is less than brilliant then there is pleny of choice in nearby Earls Court. The pub is laid out intelligently so that it doesn't feel as big as it is and the beer is looked after well enough.
Access to central London is easy enough from West Brompton tube (notwithstanding the horror of the District Line - something beyond anyone's control apparently and certainly not the fault of Accor). All in all it is what it is, a chain hotel in London that provides what you need (safe, clean rooms with decent shower) at reasonable rates. It may never make the pulse race but I have yet to resort to finding an alternative. "
"Stayed here this summer when attending a conference in london. Hotel is located in an easilly accessable part of london, not right in the center, but then not on the outskirts either.
Staff are pleasent and friendly, and give you a walm welcome when you arrive and if you need assistance.
The beds are comfortable, but although the rooms can be a little smaller than some hotels, the large windows allow lots of light to come in giving a good open feel.
There is both a bar and a restaurant on the 1st floor, both are good value for london prices, particularly hotel prices. The restaurant when I was there however was only serving a buffet for dinner, but if you dont mind that, then its fine.
The only problem I had this time was I was on a higher floor, and the wifi only reaches up to about the 4th or 5th floor. "
"Standard IBIS hotel. Internet, breakfast etc. Rooms good and clean. 3 minutes walk to nearest tube stop so easy to get into London. Easyjet bus stops right outside the hotel (don“t have to be flying with Easyjet) and goes non-stop from there to Gatwick airport, stopping at both terminals. A definite bonus of staying at this hotel as much quicker than messing around with the tube and train. Concierge were really helpful. A few nice pubs and places to eat nearby. "
"The room was small but spotlessly clean with a good shower over the bath. Lovely fluffy bath towels and very comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of cereal, fruit and hot food. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel and would definitely use again if travelling to London. "
"The room was very clean, bed was firm and very comfortable with good quality linens. The bathroom was totally renovated. Towels were nice and thick and replaced daily.
The negatives are thin walls and doors that slam shut with a bang. It is very conveniently located within walking distance of tube stations on the Picadilly and District lines, giving easy access to Heathrow and all the major attractions.
The front desk staff were not friendly at all, but the information desk and buffet staff are very nice. Overall, this is a good hotel for the money. "
