Kings
Cross Hotels
Kings
Cross is primarily a cheap budget hotel area. In the past Kings Cross
has had an unfortunate reputation notorious with crime and prostitution.
That is pretty much history now and Kings Cross is undergoing massive
redevelopment, much of it driven by the arrival of international trains
into St Pancras station in 2007.
For the time being budget hotels still predominate, and especially
Kings Cross bed and breakfast
hotels. Many
of these get positive reviews despite their cheapness. There is also
several budget hotels run by large chains, Travelodge
Kings Cross, Premier
Travel Inn Kings Cross and Comfort
Inn Kings Cross.
For the time being the only 4 star hotel in the immediate vicinity
is the Novotel
Kings Cross. |
Euston
Hotels
There
is a good, though not plentiful range of hotels within about 5 minutes
walk of Euston Station. There is no hotel directly part of Euston
Station itself though. The nearest hotel is the Ibis
Hotel Euston in an adjacent street running parallel with the western
boundary of the station.
The main road fronting the station is called the Euston Road, a 4
lane major thoroughfare with a constant stream of traffic. Two midrange
hotels are found not far from Euston Station that both sit on the
Euston Road. The Premier
Travel Inn Euston, just east of the station and the Euston
Square Hotel to the west, adjacent to Euston Square.
Perhaps the cheapest hotel is the Mabledon Hotel, just off the Euston
Road near the Travel Inn. There are no very cheap bed and breakfast
hotels in the immediate vicinity, though 800m down the Euston Road
are cheap
bed and breakfasts near Kings Cross Station.
Of the full service 4 star hotels, perhaps the best feedback comes
from the Novotel
Euston. |
