The Mornington is in a great position by Lancaster Gate and only about
50m to Hyde Park. The Delmere tends to get the best customer feedback,
the Paddington Court the most mixed.
Best Western Paddington Court Hotel
" I arrived at the hotel alone (met up with spouse later), to
check-in to a busy reception area and checked in within a few minutes,
the reception staff were lovely. I was annoyed as the porter showed
me to my room along many corridors, up several flights up stairs without
helping me with either my heavy suitcase or rucksake - rude! I made
it to my room and the porter showed me in...single? Looooong trek
back to reception!! They quickly changed my room no problems and with
much apology. Looooong trek to room again, carrying bags on my own!
The rooms are quite posh, lovely little shower room, TV welcoming
on arrival and complimentary iron and board. The rooms are small but
do the job. The only complaint with the room itself would be the view
from the window overlooking lanes and yards. It takes about 5 minutes
to walk to Paddington, and the area is much safer than dodgy King's
Cross where you'd pay the same as you pay for this hotel but get a
terrible 1* b&b. Just booked up for another stay here in a few
months! ."

" We arrived to meet friendly staff who helped coordinate our
lost baggage and its safe arrival from the airport into our room.
They had offered recomendations for areas to walk, pubs to visit...
Our room was small, granted - but, that's Europe.
If
you're looking for a resort type holiday, this is not the place to
stay. Don't go in expecting the 'American' style Best Western experience.
Most of these hotels don't have pools, work out rooms, large suite
like rooms or large public areas. But, if you're like us and just
want a clean, safe, comfortable place to rest at the end of a long
day of exploring. This is the place for you.
Most
important to note, even though there is a lift, you may still have
some stairs to get to your room. The food was good, (My fiance still
raves about the coffee...), the area was really nice, great access
to transportation, and as I said the hotel was clean, friendly and
safe. It's a place I'd definitely go back to."

"The room was ok for a quick stay like mine, the room is fine
toilets are clean and neat, i would stay there for my next visit.
For all people who think its a luxury hotel, its a very simple British
bed and breakfast hotel."
"This hotel is situated not far from Hyde Park and in a nice
neighbourhood not too far from the Paddington Underground Station.
From the outside the hotel look fairly nice and the reception was
very charming and "British" with heavy and dark exclusive
looking furniture. There was complimentary tea and coffee as well
as newspapers and books. We had to wait an extra hour for our room,
but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was TINY. I
have never stayed in a smaller hotel room. The double bed was narrow
and definitely not suited for anyone above average weight and height.
There was no room for our suitcases and we literally tripped over
everything for the two days we stayed there.
When that is said...the room was clean and the bathroom light and
a bit more spacious than expected after seeing the room. There was
no air-condition, but we weren't particurlary bothered with heat even
in the midts of summer. On the opposite side of the street from our
window there was a pub, but there wasn't much noise after elleven
thirty at night. A great breakfast was included in the price.
All in all a decent hotel, but not for those of you who prefer a bit
extra. ."

following. The Darlington is a total non-smoking hotel with no facilities
for people to smoke on the premises.
