Travelodge is one of the UK's largest "no frills" budget hotel chains second only in numbers to the Premier Inn chain. Travelodge have numerous hotels throughout Central London, many of them new build and recently opened.

Travelodge follow the no frills model offering clean. modern rooms with none of the frills like rooms service, health suites and a la carte restaurants. Of the chains linked to on the menu left, Travelodge has the most frugal rooms and facilities and normally the cheapest room rates.
Bedrooms are very similar to 3 star purpose built hotels you find globally. A King Size Bed or two singles (twin room) with TV, desk and tea and coffee facilities. Some hotels have family rooms where the kids are expected to use a sofa bed. The family rooms are normally the same price as the standard double/twin rooms.
Bathrooms normally have a full size bath with a powerful shower. No toiletries are supplied, not even soap. Towels are provided as are a kettle and some tea/coffee. The TV will normally have Freeview channels which are UK channels.
Reception is functional, don't expect spacious lounges, there will normally be vending machines and tourist literature and that is about it. At some hotels check-in is automated. The larger, newer sites are installing basic bar/cafe facilities including alcohol that can be good value. Like most hotels in Central London very few have parking facilities, if there is parking it will be normally be operated by a separate company to the hotel.

Flexible & Saver Room Rates
Room rates at Travelodge like most hotels in London are not static, even the standard flexible walk up rates. The flexible rates allow you to cancel up to midday of your booking without penalty. The actual rates themselves change dynamically day to day.
The cheapest rates are advance purchase, no cancellation reservations made on-line. The very cheapest rates, called saver rates can be dramatically cheap, when they are available they are normally the cheapest rooms available in town - so they don't last long. Again like the low cost airlines, prices seem to change every day and broadly the earlier you book the better the price is offered.
At many of the Travelodge hotels you can check-in early or check-out late for a supplement, unusually you can purchase this facility at the time of reservation on-line.
