In terms of choice, the biggest selection of triple rooms is in the independent Bed and Breakfast hotel sector. If your kids are grown up or you have a small group of adults the Bed and Breakfast accommodation options are a good first stop to evaluate as they invariably use full size beds rather than a sofa bed for the third person favoured by some of the chain hotels.
As well as being relatively low cost you also of course normally get a good breakfast as part of the room rate. Some of these Bed and Breakfast hotels have larger rooms that can accommodate up to six people (adults) in a single family room. However these rooms sell out quickly, particularly at weekends and holiday periods when demand from families is at its height.
If your preference is for a chain hotel with the reassurance of a well known brand name then they are all there. Of the budget no frills chains Travelodge and Premier Inn are the most numerous. Both of these sell family rooms for the same price as their standard double room, although the room itself may be very little different from a standard room with a sofa bed put in. The Accor chain, predominantly their Ibis and Novotel chains have triple rooms in perhaps the majority of their hotels. The 4 star Novotel chain has hotels mostly in business orientated districts so at the weekends there can be some good deals. Their hotels by the Tower of London and along the south bank of the River Thames are very central and convenient for leisure visitors despite their business focus during the working week.
