Mr
Desira senior established the Luna & Simone Hotel in 1970. It
is now managed and owned by his two sons since 1980. The hotel's cosy,
family-like atmosphere is stronger than ever and its location is an
ideal base from which to see the main tourist attractions such as
Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, the theatres,
the parks, the night-clubs and so on.
There is an Internet room on the ground floor which guests may use,
and wireless Internet access on the ground and first floor of the
Hotel.
All bedrooms are non smoking, comfortable and clean with colour TV,
hairdryer, writing desk, tea and coffee making facilities and a safety
deposit box. Apart from two basic single rooms who share a bathroom,
all rooms have their own fully tiled bathrooms with powerful showers,
toilet and wash basin.
The full English breakfast is served in the breakfast room from 7
a.m. to 8.30 a.m.

Customer Reviews
Below are some fairly typical reviews from customers that have stayed
at the Luna and Simone B&B Hotel. They are independent viewpoints
and not necessarily the view of this web site.
"My
wife and I stayed for four nights at this marvelous little bed-and-breakfast
hotel near Victoria station. The rates are extremely low, by London
standards. The rooms are quite small, but as we didn't plan to spend
much time sitting in the room, that was no drawback. The rooms are
clean and comfortable. No lifts (elevators), but the owners/managers
helped us upstairs with our heavy suitcases. The location is ideal
- tube station about a five-minute walk away, and the number 24 bus
stops in front of the hotel, with service to Victoria, Trafalgar Square,
Westminster, and the Charing Cross Road, among other places - a great
bus to simply get on and ride for sightseeing.
The service could not have been friendlier - the brothers who own/manage
the hotel are wonderful. They serve a full English breakfast in the
morning which was more than adequate for our needs. We'd stay there
again in a heartbeat. Note, however, that there is no air conditioning
(though there are fans), so we'd be hesitant about visiting in high
summer. Overall, we loved our stay. "
"Traveled
to England for a two-week tour with spouse and two teens. We needed
a relatively inexpensive place with a room for 4. We were quite pleased
with the Luna & Simone. The beds were quite comfortable, even
though the room was very small (didn't bother us). We loved being
so close to Victoria Station because we wanted to tour lots of places
within London, plus we picked up our rental car for the rest of our
trip there. The bathroom was clean and sufficient (why do I always
forget that the British don't use washcloths so I could bring my own?).
The only drawback was the breakfast--minimal choice and rather cheaply
made, I thought, especially compared to later places we stayed."
"The location is great, not too far away from Victoria Station
(with the musicals etc around it) plus there is a bus stop very close
to the hotel. It can be a bit tricky to find it at first, on your
own from the station late at night after travelling all day, though.
However, the area around it was packed with restaurants, Boots and
small shops. The service given was very good too. The breakfast was
perhaps a bit too early in the morning, so I didn't have the chance
to check that out. However, they were very helpful with questions
and were happy to order a taxi for the airport etc. They offer an
internet connection in the rooms, and have a 'computer room' (which
is a computer in the smallest room of all time! :D). We lived at the
top, there is no lift. We managed, however, even if the trip up with
heavy suitcases was - well - exercise. The rooms, however, were nice.
The walls were a bit yellow, but clean and surprisingly not tiny.
The bathroom was amazing, the shower like no other on budget hotels,
and cleaned every day by a sweet maid. The
street was busy in the morning, so if we had the window open it would
wake us up, but not bother us, really."
"Clean, very friendly, and good location. Rooms were small, but
the price was fair. The rooms were new looking. The bathrooms appeared
to be brand new. We stayed in 2 differant rooms at 2 differant times.
The rooms were nearly identical. We were within a few blocks of Victoria
station. Which meant that we had access to trains and tubes. Staff
was family, and very friendly. We always had a nice greeting in the
morning with our complimentary english breakfast. Egg, ham (its called
bacon here), baked beans and toast. I would highly recommend it."
