The Best Western Victoria Palace is much nearer Victoria rail, bus and coach stations than the Best Western Corona.
From the Best Western Corona most people would not walk to Victoria, a good 10/15 minutes. Pimlico Underground is close by though. The number 24 bus runs every few minutes on a 24x7 basis along the Belgrave Road from Pimlico. It passes through Victoria then does a mini sightseeing tour passing Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, 10 Downing Street and Trafalgar Square before going through the heart of the West End theatre district - all in an eventful 15-20 minutes.

"This hotel gets ticks in every box - location, value, helpful and friendly staff, and a wonderful buffet breakfast (love those crisp, flaky croissants!). The rooms are typical chain hotel style - comfortable, everything works and they are clean. There is plenty of nice hot water for a great showers. Our smallish room didn't feel cramped because it was well organised.
We had booked and paid months in advance, but because we arrived later in the day (at around 6pm) all of the upstairs rooms had already been allocated and we were put in the basement (not a problem in itself as there was a window facing an internal courtyard). The issue was our location in the same hallway as the kitchen serving breakfast. From 5:30/6am I was woken by constant door 'slamming' and sounds of staff at work. I mentioned it to the desk staff and they were most apologetic and promised to deal with it and it was a little better the next day but it's a big ask. Walls and doors are thin. So avoid anywhere near the breakfast room and you'll have a wonderful stay. "
"We stayed here for two nights for a quick tour of London before going on to Ireland. We had stayed in this area before at another budget hotel. I was not satisfied with the last hotel and thought we could do better. Actually, this hotel was better.
I emailed a few days before we left, reconfirming our reservation and stating that we did not want to be in a basement room (our reservation was for the annex building). When we arrived, the young man at the desk walked us across the street to the annex, carried my husband's suitcase for him and showed us to our upstairs rooms.
The rooms themselves were clean and fairly comfortable. The bed linens while not great were far superior to those of the other budget hotel that we had stayed in previously. The bathroom was clean and in working condition. You needed to use a room key to access the front door of the annex. Checkout was easy and convenient. The location of this hotel is fantastic and the neighborhood feels safe.
On the corner is one of the highest rated pubs in London, the Marquis of Westminster. Had very good food. Across the street is a laundromat. However, they do not dry the clothes. They hang them to dry. One shirt we got back was still soaking wet! For basic lodging on a budget, I would come back to this hotel. "
"I booked a Double Ensuite Room. We got a single room with a double bed. The bed was narrow and pillows were not comfortable at all. Put a chair in the bathroom to be able to accomodate a second suitcase under the desk. No closet in a normal sense just some space with a few hangers.
Room was clean. Bathroom had a good size and was clean too. Bath towels were clean but very old. Air conditioning got noisy on the fourth night, I had to shut it down. Could not open the window because of the outside noise. Staff was polite but not helpful. Requested help in bying tickets to the Globe Theater and to some Show and was recommended to do it myself. Breakfast was good. Location is good. "

"This was a decent hotel for the price we paid. It was in a good location...we could see the London eye from our room, it was just a few minutes from the Plimlico tube, and pretty close to other attractions. The hotel did provide breakfast which helped saved some money, however, their selection of breakfast items were slim pickings. The receptions were very helpful, the only negative thing I have to say is that the hotel rooms were tiny. Also, wifi is free at the hotel; however, we could never get signal from our room which was on the 4th floor, so we had to always go to the lobby since it had a stronger signal. "
"I travelled with my Father and sister to visit Buckingham Palace. We got an excellent deal and a room for 3. There was little space in the room but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and water hot. We slept well and had a very good breakfast. Particulalry nice staff brought frest toast and hot coffee to the table and a good continental spread was provided. The location is wonderful, just a short walk from Victoria with a bus stop opposite. This is not a luxury stay, nor are the rooms big but for a comfortable, good value stay its hard to beat. We will be back "
" Had a couple of nights here. Although the room was on the small side everything was clean and the bed comfy. There was some traffic noise in the morning but not that bad. Breakfast was a continental buffet and fine to get you started for the day. The tube is close by although we used the bus which is even closer. Overall, clean and good value with helpful staff. "
