There are other similar cheap hotels in Victoria nearby, you can find some on our bed and breakfast hotels in London Victoria page.

At Hugh Street the hotels are fine if you need simple accommodation and your requirements of a hotel are just basically somewhere to sleep and a secure place to store your belongings while you're out exploring London.

Be not in doubt, these are not homely houses with a couple of rooms rented out by attentive family owners. These are small very simple hotels, with none of the frills.

The main attraction is price, somewhere to safely store your luggage and a simple place to sleep overnight while you spend the day exploring London. There are no lifts and the cheapest rooms you share the bathroom facilities. These are one step up from staying in a hostel.

The location of Hugh Street is exceptional. Very close to both rail, underground and coach stations. There are cheap direct coaches to all of London's major airports within 400m.

If this is the kind of accommodation you are interested in do check out Kings Cross Bed and Breakfasts, you pay a little more than the very cheap hotels in Hugh Street but there is a step change in quality.

Holly House Hotel Victoria - Typical Reviews

"When i arrived at the guest house i was taken to my room that was in a building 2doors down the road (the annex), it was quite nice but very warm i had to turn the rad right down (but i guess hot is better then cold) it was in a very good place quite close to victoria station :-)

I had a very good nights sleep, I didnt have breakfast because i had to leave early to get my flight so i dont know what that was like but all in all it was a good stay. "

"Satisfactory only for a brief stop over, offers basic but clean facilities. We didn't have chance to try breakfast, but this was advertised as continental only. Our room overlooked the busy railway lines, so you may wish to request a room at the other side of the building. "

"The rooms are small, furnishings worn, and management was haphazard. The location is excellent and we slept well. Nothing fancy but you do get what you pay for. I would stay here again if the budget is tight. We could have found something nicer but paid 50% more. we were satisfied but not delighted. "

"you get what you pay as and for the price i couldnt complain, the room was clean and the beds had fresh sheets and bedding on, we had a towel each with bar of soap, tea/coffee and fridge in room as well as lcd tv which worked fine. this hotel is close to all links and in a great location. it is ideal for a place to lay your head after a day exploring.

if you want luxury then pay luxury prices but on a budget this hotel is fine. would use this place again, i couldnt really complain for the price we paid, bathroom is small and could use some updating but like i said you get what you pay for. "

"We chose it on the low price and being near to Victoria bus station (megabus cheap travel) and the theatre we had tickets for.

It was clean, the staff were friendly, and suitable for a short stay on a tight budget. The room was small but clean, the en suite was tiny but functional, it had a small fridge, kettle and tea and coffee, and a small TV. Even with the window open it wasn't too noisy for central London, the trains aren't noticable.

Breakfast is simple cereal and toast, tea, coffee, orange juice. We were welcome to leave our bags in the dining room at our own risk for a few hours after check out. Don't expect anything more than a cheap base to save money better spent on other delights London has to offer. "
