The Travelodge Gatwick Central is a very large hotel which for the last few decades was a full service 4 star hotel known for much of its time as the Renaissance Gatwick.

All the business and conference rooms, restaurants and elegant lounges have been stripped out and in their place another 150 rooms added. So what you have now is a low cost budget hotel in quite spacious grounds which betray the more upmarket history of the site.

Travelodge are one of the leading chains in the UK for budget, no frills hotels. When the Travelodge chain are offering their advance purchase 'saver' rates the Travelodge Gatwick Central is one of the cheapest hotel options at Gatwick Airport. Even when you pay the flexible rates, the price is very competitive.

A very large Tesco Extra supermarket is just 5 minutes walk and a 15 minute walk or short local bus ride is Horley town centre with an abundance of restaurants, pubs etc.

The Travelodge Gatwick Central is one of two Travelodge properties at Gatwick. Travelodge Gatwick is just south of Gatwick Airport and is a much smaller hotel on an airport industrial area. Both Travelodge properties have shuttle buses to Gatwick passenger terminals and local buses to the airport from nearby.

There is also a large Tesco Extra supermarket open 24x7 except Sundays, just 5 minutes walk north of the Holiday Inn Gatwick.

The town centre of Horley is a 15 minute walk or a short local bus ride and has a wide range of restaurants, pubs and shops.
