This Heathrow B&B is to be found to the north east of Heathrow at Cranford, near Junction 3 of the M4 motorway.

The main sacrifice is the absence of any airport transfer facility. You can use taxis but 'the' lifeline to the Heathrow passenger terminals are the local public bus service, so if you have lots of luggage this probably isn't for you. There are two bus routes, one of which runs a 24 hour service. For most of the day there is a bus about every 10-15 minutes.

For those with their own vehicle, then the Cottage Guest House is quite convenient, quite close to the M4 motorway turn off and also Purple Parking, one of Heathrow's cheapest car parking options.

Airport Transfers :

Take the 105 or 111 bus from Heathrow Bus Station. Pay the driver £2.30, and get off at Cranford High Street. [Journey time aprox 15 minutes].

The bus is a large double decker red bus, you'll do best to go on the top deck (again this is not suitable if you have more than one medium piece of luggage) to get a good view.

The bus will travel through a tunnel under the Heathrow runway, before going right along the perimeter road to the north of the airport. This road (Bath Road contains a long line of large airport hotels). When the hotels begin to peter out, the last hotels being the Ibis on your left and then the Premier Travel Inn on your right.

Soon the bus will enter a suburban residential area leaving the airport firmly behind. The bus turns left. After a while longer the bus will cross a major dual carriageway, to your left you will see a motorway in the distance. Now prepare to get off the bus.

In about 500m you will see a roundabout and the Queens Head Pub, press the bell and get off the bus. On your left you will see the Gardeners Pub where the Guest House is located nearby.

Heathrow Bus Station is between Terminals 1 and 3. From Terminals 1 and 3 there are underground moving walkways, signposted.

From Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 catch the Heathrow Express train to the central area, (free and running every 15 minutes) and follow signs to bus station.

The 105 and 11 buses runs about every 10-15 minutes for most of the day. The 105 bus runs a full 24 hour service with several buses an hour until about 01:00. Between 01:00 and 05:00 frequencies are about twice hourly.
