The Renaissance Hotel Heathrow is a large four star, five storey hotel on the northern perimeter road of the airport, (Bath Road). The Renaissance Hotel Heathrow is physically the closest hotel to the central terminals, 1 and 3. (See Heathrow Hotel Map at bottom of page).

The Renaissance Heathrow is particularly renowned for being adjacent to the main north runway with Terminal 1 and 3 opposite. It even does special packages for plane spotters so they can do their hobby in comfort from a hotel room.

The hotel is situated on the Bath Road, the main airport hotel strip, there are other large hotels like the Renaissance all around it.

Directions:

Exit M4 at Junction 4, follow signs for Heathrow Terminal 1 and 3. At the roundabout follow signs for A4 Central London. The Park Inn Heathrow is on your left. At the traffic lights turn right across the A4, the Renaissance is the other side of the road.

Triple glazing, which makes them soundproof, air conditioning, a minibar, a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with luxury toiletries, a hairdryer, a 25-inch TV with cable and satellite channels and pay movies, a clock radio, an iron and an ironing board, a trouser press, a chair, a desk, two phones with voicemail and tea and coffee-making facilities. You can choose to have a fridge instead of a minibar.

Renaissance Hotel Heathrow Public Facilities :

Restaurant & Bar, a hairdresser's, a flight information screen in the lobby, a laundry, a dry-cleaning service, 28 meeting rooms, a cash machine, a bureau de change, a safe deposit box at reception and a concierge. There is also a gift shop, which is open until 10pm.

Airport Parking And Transfers:

There are no complementary hotel shuttle buses that run to/from any mainstream Heathrow hotel. Instead, 'Hoppa Buses' run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 hotels. Different routes service Terminals 1 & 3 to the buses that service Terminals 4 and 5.

The first bus from the hotels each morning are by 04:30 and the service runs down around 23:00 in the evening.

If you have relatively light luggage you can do the same journey free using local buses. From the Central Bus Station catch a red local bus, routes 285, 105 and 140 among them. The airport subsidises these buses, this is a free ride. These buses stop opposite the Renaissance, you cannot miss the hotel.

There is also a free direct bus between Terminal 5 and the Renaissance bus route 423.

For parking packages at the hotel you can extend the parking beyond the package length by paying an additional daily rate direct to the hotel. The current daily rate is stated in the hotel detail during the reservation process where available.

Vicinity :

In the immediate vicinity there is little but other large airport hotels.

Opposite the hotel, down by the side of the Park Inn hotel is Sovereign Food & Wine, pictured right. This is a small convenience store which includes fruit, confectionery and wine. There is also a cash machine inside. Next door to it an Italian Restaurant.

A McDonald's is located about 200m from the hotel, east in front of the Radisson Edwardian hotel. Just west of the hotel is The Three Magpies Pub, which does food including steaks.
