Little Hallingbury Mill is an old converted flour mill on the banks of the River Stort with excellent view over the valley. This is a quirky, out of the ordinary place to stay. You must have your own vehicle to stay, there is a lengthy single track road from the nearest village that eventually leads to the end of the tarmac adjacent to the River Stort.

Its a very peaceful scene, where locals take their dogs for walks along the river and countryside.

The mill is just 10 kms from Stansted Airport, but is a world apart from the bustle and hustle of an international airport. It is ideal for motorists who want an overnight stopover to remember but at an affordable price.

There has been a mill at Hallingbury from the 1600s the present building was built in 1874. We serve good fresh food and have an excellent wine cellar there are many event thorough out the year i.e. River regatta murder mystery weekend and Burns suppers to name but a few.
