The benchmark Travelodge chain has two travel lodges near Stansted Airport. However both of these travel lodges are a fair distance from Stansted Airport itself. The Travelodge Stansted Great Dunmow is about seven miles east of Stansted and is really only suitable for motorists. The Travelodge Harlow is conveniently located next to Harlow Town train station with trains to Stansted Airport passenger terminals taking 20 minutes or less. Its also quite close to the M11 motorway between the Stansted Airport turn off and the London orbital motorway, the M25 turn off of the M11.
Both of these Travelodge properties normally have good availability of Travelodge 'saver rates' - deeply discounted rates when booked well in advance.

Offering a very similar travel lodge style product and pricing and very close to Stansted Airport itself are two Days Inn properties, the Days Inn Stansted and Days Hotel Stansted. These hotels are sited on the motorway services station at the entrance to Stansted Airport itself.
Travelodge Stansted
The Travelodge Stansted Airport is a new Travelodge about 7 miles east of Stansted Airport. The fast motorway grade A120 road connects the hotel with Stansted Airport.
There is no airport shuttle facility, so this Travelodge is only suitable for motorists.
Travelodge Harlow
Another new Travelodge option, this time to the south of Stansted Airport towards London.
The Travelodge Harlow is conveniently adjacent to Harlow Town railway station with trains every 30 minutes to Stansted passenger terminals.
Also next door to the Travelodge is a Toby Inn with an all you can eat carvery offering.
Days Hotel Stansted
Another brand new no frills budget hotel situated on the motorway services at the entrance to Stansted Airport.

This hotel and its sister the Days Inn are the closest true budget no frills hotels to Stansted Airport itself.
Days Inn Stansted
Like its sister hotel the Days Hotel, the Days Inn Stansted is located on the Birchanger motorways services at the entrance to Stansted Airport.

The Days Hotel is brand new, opened in 2009 - the Days Inn is the original hotel for Stansted before the Days Hotel was built to offer much needed extra capacity.
