The Travelodge Stansted Great Dunmow is a modern example of a Travelodge hotel. The Travelodge Stansted Great Dunmow is not the closest no frills budget hotel to Stansted Airport (see Days Inn Stansted) but is adjacent to a junction for the A120, motorway grade road that links it directly with Stansted Airport.
No airport transport service is provided by the Travelodge Stansted Great Dunmow and public transport is such that this hotel is really only suitable for those with their own car.
The Travelodge Dunmow is on the edge of Dunmow, an historic town with some interest but the location means its a 15 minute walk.
The 'other' Stansted Travelodge - Stansted Bishops Stortford is physically closer to Stansted Airport, located close to Birchanger Services on the M11 London motorway. This is the turnoff from the M11 into Stansted Airport. The Travelodge Great Dunmow is more convenient if you are coming from the Essex area.

The hotel is right next to the Dunmow junction of the A120, which is near motorway grade road. Its thus by car, a very fast journey to Stansted Airport a couple of junctions up the road.
There is no courtesy transport between the Travelodge Stansted and Stansted Airport, public transport is not realistic and the hotel is relatively a long distance for a taxi.
Really only suitable for motorists.
