Wicked - The Story
Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire and cleverly adapted for the stage by Stephen Schwartz, Wicked explores the witches of the land of Oz and how they came to be. Elphaba and Glinda are unlikely friends, but friends all the same.

The two girls meet in the land of Oz, one is popular, funny, beautiful and ambitious - the other smart, fiesty....misunderstood and with green skin.

The pair twist and turn through their time at Shiz, the school of sorcery and just how the unusual friends become the witches of Oz proves to be extraordinary.

The plot of this superbly polished musical extravaganza is (part of) the backstory to the much-loved 'Wizard of Oz' - originally a book written by American writer Frank L Baum and published in 1900, and subsequently converted into numerous film versions, the most notable of which appeared in 1939 and starred Judy Garland, not forgetting her dog, Toto.
