Important Notice About Astral Tours
After a decade of developing the small group day tour concept using small minibuses and high quality guides, Astral Tours sadly ceased trading in October 2007.

To fill the void and satisfy the demand for such tours from London, an established company, International Friends are providing some of Astral's most popular tour itineraries for the 2008 season using the same small 16 seat buses that can visit the places the bigger buses cannot go, together with high quality guides.

Afterwards, visit the Roman Baths and Museum and Pump Rooms and explore Bath at your leisure.

Sample the spring waters, explore the paved passages, narrow streets and quaint shops.

Make sure you pause to watch the bizarre street performers.

Bath's Georgian architecture is quite stunning. The Royal Crescent, built in the late 1700s by John Wood the younger, has been designated a World Heritage Building and No. 1 Royal Crescent has been carefully restored by the Bath Preservation Trust to appear as it might have done when first built.

One of the most famous landmarks in the city is Pulteney Bridge, one of only two bridges in Europe to support shops. Built in 1770 by the eminent architect Robert Adam and modelled on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, here you will find small specialist shops and restaurants.

Maybe enjoy lunch in one of the many excellent pubs and restaurants or enjoy a picnic by the rushing waters of the Weir and River Avon. We spend well over 3 hrs in Bath so there is plenty of time to enjoy the many attractions of this beautiful city.

Afterwards, we enjoy a scenic drive through the leafy lanes of the Cotwolds to visit idyllic Castle Combe, voted the "prettiest village in England". Explore this unspoilt village with its quaint cottages, and rushing stream. Savour the peaceful atmosphere of an age long gone and maybe enjoy a pint of traditional ale or a cream tea in an old English inn.
Included in the price is a delicious cream tea (a traditional fruit scone split with strawberry jam and clotted cream served with a pot of tea) Alternatively, you may prefer a pint of tradional ale in the old English Inn. Not to be missed!
We also visit the medieval village of Lacock which has hardly changed in the past 200 years. With its magnificent abbey, half timbered cottages and greystone houses it recently provided the perfect film setting for both "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice".
