Tour Itinerary:

The Cotswold region is an area of outstanding natural beauty, characterised by attractive small towns and thatched villages of yellow Cotswold stone made prosperous by the historic wool trade. Blenheim Palace is a world heritage site on the edge of the Cotswolds and is home of the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

Combined together they make a great leisurely day out immersed in an environment that is quintessentially English


The coaches used are full sized luxury touring coaches. Evan Evans who run the tour has a courtesy pick up service covering over 50 centrally located hotels in London. Pickups operate between 07:45 and 8:30, covering all the main hotel districts in Central London.

The tour is scheduled to Leave London Victoria at 08:45, returning to London around 19:00

Blenheim Palace

The tour heads west from London towards Oxford, Blenheim Palace being about 10 miles north of this famous university city. Blenheim Palace is a masterpiece of English Baroque architecture and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The stunning State Rooms are brimming with priceless works of art and magnificent tapestries.


The Palace is still inhabited today by the Duke of Marlborough. The Gardens are set in over 754 hectares of land with an exquisite water garden.

When you arrive at Blenheim you can choose between two options:

(a) Entrance to Blenheim Palace State Rooms where a guide will bring the history of this fabulous place to life. This is not part of the tour price.

(b) Free walking tour of the gardens of Blenheim Palace where you will see the Marlborough Maze and the stunning fountains of the gardens.

The Cotswolds

This region of outstanding natural beauty is characterised by attractive small towns and thatched villages of yellow Cotswold stone made prosperous by the historic wool trade. You'll visit Great Tew, where the traditional post office and local pub give the village an atmosphere of times gone by.


With a variety of different villages there is something to see around every corner of the The Cotswolds. The magnificent high street in Burford slopes gently away to the bridge that crosses the River Windrush, while the village of Bibury was described by William Morris as the 'prettiest village' in the Cotswolds.

These contrasting villages are two of the best examples in the Cotswolds. At the main stop in the Cotswolds you have the choice of:

(a) Enjoy a wonderful lunch in a typical country pub, (the meal is not included in the price of the tour)

(b) Free time to explore a beautiful Cotswolds village with quaint shops and pretty thatched cottages.
