Tour Itinerary:

The highlights are the famous university city of Oxford and Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon. You will also get a glimpse of the Cotswolds traveling between the two. The Cotswolds region is an area of outstanding natural beauty, characterised by attractive small towns and thatched villages of yellow Cotswold stone.


The coaches used are full sized luxury touring coaches. Evan Evans who run the tour has a courtesy pick up service covering over 50 centrally located hotels in London. Pickups operate between 07:45 and 8:30, covering all the main hotel districts in Central London.

The tour is scheduled to Leave London Victoria at 08:45, returning to London around 19:00

The day begins by traveling across the Chiltern Hills to Oxford in about 90 minutes.


The 'City of Dreaming Spires,' whose hushed courtyards have inspired generations of scholars including Bill Clinton and writers, Lewis Carroll author of 'Alice in Wonderland', C.S. Lewis who wrote 'Chronicles of Narnia' and the immortal J.R.R. Tolkein, author of 'Lord of the Rings’.


There is only one way to see Oxford and that's a walking tour. On the walking tour you'll visit Christ Church Oxford, where Harry Potter scenes were filmed, see the Bodleian Library and the picture-perfect college courtyards for which Oxford is justifiably famous.

After the tour the coach will make for Stratford through the Cotswold countryside.

Stratford Upon Avon

Stratford-upon-Avon is renowned for being the birthplace of the world-famous playwright William Shakespeare. You will visit the Tudor-style birthplace of William Shakespeare, gaining a fascinating insight into his childhood with its typical parlour, bedrooms, kitchen, buttery and the glove-maker's workshop used by John, Shakespeare's father.


There'll be time to explore this charming market town, its streets lined with unusual shops and boutiques.

'Scrumpy Tea' at Anne Hathaway's Cottage

Anne Hathaway, the wife of Shakespeare lived at this cottage Before marrying William Shakespeare in 1582. The cottage is located in the outskirts of modern day Stratford, so a 5 minute coach ride from the centre of Stratford Upon Avon is required.

Enjoy apple scones and locally produced cider or apple juice in the beautiful gardens of Anne Hathaway's Cottage.

The picture-postcard half-timbered childhood home of William Shakespeare's wife, set in lovely surroundings and containing a treasure-trove of historic domestic artifacts.
