near Gare Du Nord Paris are plentiful and good value.
Immediately opposite the front entrance of the Gare Du Nord is the
Rue de Dunkerque with a line of hotels facing the station.
These are competitively priced, and all around them is a tremendous
choice of good bar and restaurant options. If you must there is a
McDonalds too.
Within 100m of the station are further choices.

The
Gare Du Nord is a local transport hub too, a local bus station is
sited above the station and there are two Metro and RER lines.
The yellow Paris hop on. hop off buses also stop here. It is in many
ways similar to the area around Kings Cross / St Pancras at the London
terminus of the Eurostar train.
Just on the edge of the very centre of Paris, you get prices below
that of the very centre plus easy links to all the places you want
to see.
Immediately opposite the front entrance of the Gare Du Nord is the
Rue De Dunkerque. On the opposite side of the road is a long line
of bars and restaurants of all kinds, there is also a good choice
of hotels here too offering the ultimate in convenience if you are
travelling by Eurostar.
The Boulevard Magenta is a main Paris road artery just to the west
of the station off which there is a further choice.
An Ibis hotel is just to the west of the station on the main road
into the central Grand Boulevards / Opera area.
Beyond the vicinity of the station, (especially to the north, east
and south of the station) you may not feel safe at night. There is
nothing to see here anyway, for visitors its best to stick to hotels
close to the station or Boulevard Magenta which are fine and use public
transport to get around. |
