Vintage Red Routemaster London Bus Tour

Vintage Red London Bus Tours - Choose The Tour Reflecting Your Interests

The Vintage Red London Bus Tour is not a rigid format tour, nor is it a hop on, hop off type service.

The core tour gets you off to great start to the day orientating you to London. After picking you up from your London hotel or a hotel close by, a beautifully restored double-decker bus will take you on a tour of London's highlights including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, all brought to life by an expert guide on-board.

After this orientation and many photos later you are taken on a river cruise to see London from a different perspective. Off the boat and its back on board the bus to head for Buckingham Palace and Changing of the Guard.

What happens after changing of the Guard is up to you. You can just call it a day and continue sightseeing independently or you can select your own afternoon tour to add on. This can take the form of a major London sightseeing attraction like the London Eye, Tower of London or Madame Tussauds or you can venture much further afield, Stonehenge is one possibility.

Vintage open top London bus tour - the core tour (morning or afternoon)

First we offer a hotel pick up service in the morning from over 170 hotels in Central London. The actual tour itself starts at Victoria Coach Station shortly after 8 a.m. if you wish to join there.

The afternoon tour has no hotel pick-up, the tour starts from Victoria Coach Station, very easy to get to, a major transport hub and central hotel district.

Then take your seat on our beautifully restored double-decker bus and marvel at all of London's highlights including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, all brought to life by our expert guide.

The tour is also available with audio headsets in 10 languages (French, German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Hindi and Korean.)

Have your cameras at the ready at Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece, St. Paul's Cathedral where Admirals Nelson and Wellington lie buried and where Princess Diana was married.

Then join us at the Tower of London that was built nearly a thousand years ago and is now home to the Crown Jewels protected by the famous Beefeaters. The imposing former palace was once used as a fortress and a prison and you can see Traitors Gate where prisoners entered the Tower for the last time!

Cruise on the River Thames

Next we take a leisurely cruise on the River Thames that passes Shakespeare's Globe, Cleopatra's Needle and London Bridge before we arrive at Westminster pier, rejoin the bus and head for Buckingham Palace.

Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the official Royal residence of Her Majesty the Queen, and we make our way to the perfect spot to watch the world famous Changing of the Guard ceremony as the Queen's soldiers, dressed in their fabulous tunics and busbies march to military music.

When the guard change does not take place, we stop instead for photos of the Horse Guards Parade.

For the afternoon tour we watch the Inspection of the Queens Household Cavalry.
