Dover
Cruise terminal is about 75 miles from Central London. Heathrow Airport
is the other (west) side of London from Dover. Gatwick is mich more
convenient.
Dover is connected by two fast roads to the London area. For a private
vehicle transfer between Dover and a typical Central London transfer
it should take about two hours non-stop, but traffic congestion in
London can easly add an hour to this.

Transfers
between Gatwick Airport and Dover and Heathrow Airport and Dover
are along motorway class roads nearly all the way.
With a clear road journey time should be under 90 minutes for Gatwick
and two hours for Heathrow.
However the orbital motorway around London used for such airport
transfer suffers from chronic road congestion.
During working days, delays are normal between about 06:30 and 10:00,
especially for Heathrow.

Arriving
at the Cruise Terminal
You should have all your luggage tagged with identification supplied
by your cruise line.
The private hire vehicle will drop you off at the front entrance of
the cruise terminal.
On arrival there are plenty of baggage handlers who will take the
luggage for you. There is no need to carry your own baggage.
After the luggage has completed security checks the porter will take
it onto the ship for you.
You will proceed to check-in with any hand luggage.
Once checked in you will wait in the departure lounge until the ship
is ready for embarkation.
Departing
from the Cruise Terminal
After disembarking and going through customs and security a porter
will carry your luggage. Immediately on exiting the customs hall
there will be a crowd of drivers meeting any passengers that have
arranged private transfers.
Just look at the signs and identify your driver.
For most cruise ships you will disembark between 07:00 and 09:00,
but check with your cruise operator.
