The
most popular option connecting Gatwick and Stansted are the frequent
bus / coach shuttles providing the only direct service between Heathrow
and Stansted airports. These are run by National
Express Airport.
However, it is just as fast to make the trip via Central London and
can be significantly cheaper |

Fastest
Indirect Route Via London
The most
comfortable option is to use the Gatwick Express and Stansted Express
trains that run into London's Victoria and Liverpool Street Stations
respectively.
The Stansted Express train makes a stop at Tottenham Hale Station,
10 minutes short of Liverpool Street.
There is a direct London
underground link using the Victoria Line between Tottenham Hale
and Victoria.
The Stansted Express
takes around 35 minutes from Stansted to Tottenham Hale and runs every
15 minutes.
The Gatwick Express
takes around 30 minutes between Victoria and Gatwick and also runs
every 15 minutes.
Allowing for connections the total journey should take a little over
2 hours.
This option is thus faster, but more expensive than the direct National
Express coach between Stansted and Gatwick. |
Cheapest
Indirect Route Via London
The cheapest option via London is significantly cheaper than the direct
National Express Gatwick to Stansted
bus. This cheapest option is also no slower than the direct bus.
The route uses the National Express Stansted
to Stratford coach service that runs every 30 minutes between
Stansted and Stratford. This takes around an hour.
Between Gatwick and London Bridge Station use the First Capital Connect
train that runs several times an hour from Gatwick. This journey takes
around 30 minutes.
The Jubilee Line of the
London Underground runs every few minutes between London Bridge
and Stratford taking around 20 minutes. |
