Key Facts Traveling Between London & Southampton
Southampton cruise terminals are about 80 miles from Central London, and 2 hours in a vehicle.
Heathrow Airport is the nearest major airport to Southampton, about 65 miles and 80 minutes by private vehicle
Gatwick Airport is not as convenient as Heathrow, situated south of London requiring a journey along London's very congested orbital motorway/freeway.
Its quite important you budget adequate contingency time. If the motorway is congested or there is an accident, alternative routes are much, much slower.

Saloon/ Sedan car or Estate/Station Wagon size vehicle.
Will take 3 full size adults and up to about 6 large cases (in the Estate Car/ Station Wagon) with very small hand luggage on your lap. Smallest vehicle available.
MPV Cars / Small Vans
Up To 5 Passengers With Up To 10 Cases
Ideal for a family the MPV/ Small Van option also has enough luggage capacity for most people.
Will take 5 full size adults and up to about 10 large cases with very small hand luggage on your lap.
Quite handy at the airports where the vehicles can fit into the car parks close to the passenger terminals.
Small Bus - For Up To 8 Passengers With 16 Large Cases
Air conditioned roomy small buses with lots of luggage room for small groups. (These buses are really 12 seat buses with seats taken out). Drivers meet and greet at airports, hotels and ports just like the cars.
These small buses have plenty of room in the passenger cabin, more than a car based vehicle. The buses can also accommodate outsize items like golf clubs, even cycles and electric mobility vehicles
Note our buses do not have special wheelchair lifts but they are able to accommodate wheelchairs or electric scooters for those who can board the buses independently. There can be two steps up to the passenger cabin.
Small Bus - For Up To 12 or 16 Passengers With 16+ Large Cases
Luxury small buses, air conditioned with aisles down the middle.
We have a range of models to suit the needs of most parties.
We can even accommodate outsize luggage. Electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, surfboards and bicycles are some of the common requests we get each year.
