Stanstead Airport Hotels have become much more plentiful in recent times. As a result room rates are significantly less than just a year or so ago.

There are two large 4 star chain hotels, a couple of Stanstead Travel Lodges and a few independent establishments in the airport zone. (see map at foot of page)
Stanstead Airport Hotels Popular Budget Hotels Around £59 -£85

The most popular choice for budget travellers are the Days Inn Stanstead , De Salis Hotel, Stanstead Guest House and the Express by Holiday Inn Stanstead.

The Days Inn is a brand name Travel Lodge property just outside the main airport entrance. Express by Holiday Inn includes breakfast and they have a transfer bus (chargeable)
The Stanstead Guest House provides a complimentary breakfast and transfers to the Stanstead passenger terminal.
The Bushell & Sack and the Latchmead Bed & Breakfast also offer free transfers, something many of the main airport hotels charge as an extra.

Most Stanstead accommodation do not provide breakfast in the room rate. Exceptions are the Express by Holiday Inn Stanstead, Latchmead B&B and Stanstead Guest House.
Family Rooms

The Thaxted Hall, Stanstead Guest House offer large family rooms with proper beds, not sofa beds.

The on-airport Radisson SAS offers interconnecting rooms.

Stansted Guest House offers good value, very close to the airport, breakfsat and complementary transfers to and from the airport.
Luxury Hotels

The Hilton Stanstead and Radisson SAS Stanstead are two large 4 star chain hotels. The Radisson SAS is right next to the passenger terminal.

Further out Down Hall is a Country House Hotel, an old manor in extensive grounds. Tennis courts, croquet lawns, long walks and a swimming pool are available.
