At
the moment, part of the charm of Lacock is that it is not overun by
tour bus crowds. There are no large coach tours that come to Lacock
on a daily basis.
Tours are available but there are severe limitations. None of the
scheduled tour operators will stay at Lacock longer than an hour,
if your main aim is to visit Lacock Abbey, perhaps inspired by its
use as a Harry Potter film location you will not have time to do this. |

International
Friends Small Group Bus |
Tours
at the moment either give you free time to walk around the village
or are focussed as a pub lunch stop at the George Inn.
Except for Premium Tours tour that visits Lacock as a pub stop after
a special access visit to Stonehenge, 16 seat small minibuses will
be used. |
International
Friends Lacock Tour.
The
most straight forward option to visit Lacock by tour is the weekly
tour run by International Friends.
Lacock is the first stop out of London, mid morning.
The tour continues to Bath over the lunch period, before stopping
at Stonehenge late afternoon, before returning to London. |

Private
Tours.
If
you can get a small group together then chartering a small bus of
your own with experienced driver/guide can be surprisingly cost effective.
If you want to see Lacock Abbey this is the only way you will get
enough time. |
Below
are links to sample private tours, but by their nature private tours
are refined to an itinerary and departure times customised to your
needs.
Lacock appears on the Countryside & Pub tour below and Stonehenge,
Bath and Countryside sample itinerary. |
