Bloomsbury is a very attractive area of London. It is an interesting area to explore with historic buildings, quirky shops, a university area and is the literary centre of London. It is also close to most of London's theatre and nightlife hotspots.
Bloomsbury is not a budget area of London so you can expect the 4-5 star hotels in Bloomsbury to offer excellent service and facilities in attractive and sometimes historic buildings. The area is well located within London offering you easy access to the theatres and nightlife and is just a 10-min walk from Leicester Square, Mayfair and the West End.
Bloomsbury hotels are on the fringes of the West End theatre district bordering Covent Garden and Leicester Square, the heart of the main entertainment area in London. The shops of Oxford Street and Regent Street are just to the west of the district too.
Bloomsbury is renowned as the literary district of London with plenty of bookshops and publishers. The University of London in Bloomsbury only adds to this activity. The Charing Cross Road, in particular, is famous for its bookshops. There are also lots of antique shops and collector shops, plus some really quirky independent shops that make the district a delight to explore.

As you would expect for such an attractive district, hotel rates do reflect a certain premium for staying here, but it is cheaper than the luxury hotels just 5 to 10-min walk away around Leicester Square.
