Overview
Dover Cruise Terminal is located approximately 75 miles (120 km) from Central London. Although Heathrow Airport is situated on the opposite side of London from Dover, the travel distance is greater; however, the travel time remains comparable, taking about 2 hours by vehicle without any stops.
Gatwick Airport is the closest main airport to Dover, located approximately 90 minutes away via motorway-quality roads.
The routes between Dover and Gatwick and Heathrow Airports do not go through London itself but uses London’s orbital M25 motorway. During weekdays, this motorway often experiences heavy traffic, resulting in regular delays on trips from Dover.
There are three Dover Cruise Terminals located close together in the western docks, but it’s uncommon to see more than one cruise ship docked at a time. The Dover Ferry Terminal, on the other hand, is situated more than a mile away in the eastern docks.

Group transfers for more than 8 passengers
If you have a large group then that is not a problem either.
We offer the full range of vehicles from 12 seat mini-buses to 50-72 seat touring coaches but we also have access to vehicles half that size. With groups on cruises, luggage is often what drives vehicle choice rather than number of passengers. UK coaches are built to European traveller requirements, where one large case is perfectly adequate.
For the mini-buses there is a passenger capacity for up to 16 passengers and around 20 large cases on our specially adapted vehicles. For a group travelling with North American flight allowances a 50 seat coach with luggage capacity of around 60 cases will typically only be able to accommodate the luggage of 35 such passengers.
With large groups just as small groups multi- drop and pick-ups from hotels is routine and if you require sightseeing we can arrange a guide whether it be an orientation tour of London or a niche interest of the group.
