Queensway hotels in Bayswater are heavily biased towards the budget end of the market but this doesn't make it an unattractive place to stay in. Most visitors use Bayswater and Queensway as a staging post to set out to explore from rather than explore within. However, there are some attractions in the area. In Kensington Gardens is Kensington Palace, home of the late Princess Diana.
Portobello Road market is within a 5-min walk which hosts markets every day although weekends are when it really comes alive. In late August, Notting Hill Carnival takes place in this area, Europe's biggest carnival.
Hyde Park that seamlessly joins Kensington Gardens is a Royal Park and a wonderful green space to relax, walk, run, horse ride and explore.
If you are looking for cheap London hotels, then Bayswater and Queensway is an excellent choice. It is in an attractive area of London with easy transport links to main attractions.
This area is popular with leisure travellers with prices higher at the weekend than during the week. They are still some of the cheapest hotels in London.
