The Lion King Theatre Show London

The Lion King - The Story

The Lion King begins with a huge celebration – born to the King of the Jungle Mufasa, Simba is the new hope and heir to his Father’s throne.

Not everyone is happy; Simba’s jealous uncle Scar laments his lost chance to be King and plots to kill both Mufasa and Simba.

When Mufasa dies, Simba blames himself and steals away in shame. As we watch Simba grow up – with a little help from his friends Timon and Pumbaa – he must finally decide whether to return to the kingdom and try to reclaim his rightful place as The Lion King.

Simba learns a few of life's lessons on the way with the help of his friends, but does he claim his rightful place as King?

The Lion King - About The Show

The Lion King is adapted from the much loved Disney film. The show has original music by Sir Elton John and Tim Rice, and with the aid of vibrant costumes and stunning effects the animals of Africa are brought to life.

Twenty years after the incredibly popular film, The Lion King lives on and thrives at London’s Lyceum Theatre. With a string of awards, amazing puppetry and an incredible soundtrack that is as fantastic as it is familiar, The Lion King is a huge hit with both audiences and critics.

The Lion King - Ticketing

When you purchase a theatre ticket, normally the best way to purchase if you can is direct in person from the theatre, for most people this is impractical. The top shows are sold out weeks if not months in advance.

It is not generally possible to purchase tickets direct online from the theatre, there are no e-tickets. Tickets are sold through agents of one kind or another. You can either collect the tickets or have them mailed to you.

When you purchase a theatre ticket you should be made aware of the face value, this is the normal price of the ticket if you bought direct at the theatre. Agents will normally charge you more than the face value, this is their commission and/or mailing fee. If there is an offer you will pay less than the face value of the ticket.

Show & Stay West End Theatre Show Tickets

The most popular shows are often sold out well in advance, especially at the popular weekend shows.

A great way to both save money and get hold of tickets otherwise not available is to purchase through a consolidator. These agents buy up blocks of seats from the theatres well in advance and bundle them with discounted hotels.

The is a large choice of hotels from the most frugal to 5 star luxury.
