International Friends small group day tours from London

London's premier mini coach small group tour operator with guaranteed departures year round, no minimum numbers

International Friends Small Group Tour Bus

Personalised service: small group tour bus

The Small Group Tour difference

International Friends are the only specialist small group operator offering a full programme of day tours from London daily. On the tours there are no more than 16 people - guaranteed!

Purpose-built minibuses have large windows, good air circulation and clear PA systems so that your professional guide can escort you comfortably through our wonderful countryside. Despite the small numbers there are no minimum numbers required as we guarantee to run a tour if we make it available.

The small group size means your guide can offer a more personalised guiding service. So don't hang back, ask your questions and you'll be helping the guide tune their commentaries to the interest of the group on board that day, every group is different!

Another advantage of a small bus is you can go places the big tours cannot and wherever possible the bus will head off down a country lane to show some hidden gem.

The tours only stop at the places you paid to visit on the tour, no stops are made at souvenir shops or restaurants in the middle of nowhere.

Below are the day tours currently available from London every week. All of the day tours from London depart between 7.20am and 8am. March to October, one hour later in the winter months normally returning to London by 6.30pm.

Windsor, Stonehenge & Bath Small Group Day Tour

Runs daily all year round.

The Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath day tour is the most popular day tour from London. No wonder with three world-class attractions visited in one long but rewarding day.

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle

Within the ethos of getting away from the crowds where possible we go direct to Stonehenge leaving the big bus tours behind us. After around an hour at Stonehenge it's a scenic hour's journey to Bath, arriving just before lunch.

After a "Best of Bath" orientation tour in the bus you are led into the Roman Baths, the most popular single attraction in Bath included with the tour. Early afternoon we're off again for the longest leg of the day to Windsor arriving mid-afternoon.

Admission to Windsor Castle is not included. Windsor, like Bath, has so many attractions we give you the choice. The admission queues for Windsor Castle have gone by the time you arrive so you can leave it up until the last moment to make your decision.

Windsor is on the edge of London, close to Heathrow Airport so it's not long after leaving Windsor that you are back in London.

Oxford, the Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon Small Group Day Tour

Runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Bridge of Sighs Oxford

Cotswold village

The small bus comes into its own on this tour into the picturesque Cotswold region to the north west of London.

With the small bus we can go down country lanes and visit places the big tour buses and crowds are prohibited from.

You'll see more of the unspoiled countryside and villages that attract people to the Cotswold region in the first place.

Either side of the Cotswolds we visit two famous towns on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Before entering the Cotswolds we take a walking tour of the famous university city of Oxford and at the end of the day we visit Stratford-upon-Avon, where Shakespeare was born and died.

Alternative small group Cotswolds only tour

Runs every Saturday April-October.

If your main interest is in the Cotswolds, then there is a weekly version of the Oxford, Cotswolds and Stratford tour spending all day in the Cotswolds without visiting Oxford or Stratford, giving you time to sample a further selection of Cotswold villages and landscapes.

Stonehenge, Glastonbury & Avebury Small Group Day Tour

Runs all year every Friday.

Stonehenge

If you are into the mystic, King Arthur, energy forces or just great sightseeing this is a very worthwhile tour.

It is a busy schedule and you cover long distances for one day but you'll see England's most famourst Neolithic monument Stonehenge and larger henge at Avebury henge.

Avebury is much less well known that Stonehenge but just as memorable. Without the crowds at Stonehenge, Avebury is much more hands on. You can walk among and touch the stones and also go inside a burial chamber.

In between Stonehenge and Avebury you journey into the mystical land of Avalon and Glastonbury.

The tour visits the historic city of Canterbury, and with Rochester with its 900 year old castle and 11th century cathedral, as well as giving you time to witness the famous White Cliffs of Dover.

The Roman Baths at Bath

The Roman Baths at Bath

The Lacock, Bath & Stonehenge tour from London is a delightful tour with full visits to two World Heritage attractions plus some of the best of the English countryside where we take advantage of the small bus to go where the big buses cannot. All in all a varied and rewarding day.

The first leg out of London is the longest of the day. During that time the size of the group should mean you have got to know your guide and are on first name terms?

The first stop is Lacock, a medieval village gem and the descent into Lacock is a highlight of the day too. After a walking tour of Lacock it's on to Bath only 30 minutes away, as lunch time approaches.

After a "best of Bath" orientation tour in the bus you are led into the Roman Baths, the most popular single attraction in Bath included with the tour. Early afternoon we're off again for another scenic hour to Stonehenge, our last stop of the day.
