The Ibis Hotel Luton Airport is one of three hotels on Luton Airport itself that you can walk to from the passenger terminals. The Ibis Luton Airport is situated directly opposite the other hotels, the Holiday Inn Express Luton Airport and the Ramada Luton Airport.

The Ibis Hotel normally offers the cheapest rooms on the airport, they can be very cheap if reserved a few weeks ahead on an advance purchase rate.

The hotel is on the other side of the aircraft apron from the passenger terminal at Luton Airport, separated by a tunnel which goes underneath a taxiway. (We have a section further down the page below detailing the walk from hotel to and from the passenger terminals).

There are also buses that ply the short journey to the passenger terminals. These are not complementary hotel shuttles.

If you are comparing hotels, it should be noted that the Holiday Inn Express room rate come with a complementary breakfast - most other hotels including the Ibis Luton Airport are room only.

Transfers Between Ibis Luton Airport and Airport Passenger Terminal:

The walk between the Luton Airport Terminal and the Ibis Luton Airport is very straight forward, (see detailed description below). Even with luggage it should take no more than 10 minutes and the pavement is fairly smooth and what kerbs there are to be negotiated have slopes, so its pretty compatible with suitcases on wheels.

You can catch the bus which runs every 10 to 15 minutes from 5am to 11pm to the Holiday Inn Express hotel and then its a very short walk down to the Ibis. The journey takes about three minutes, and tickets cost £1 per person.

Ibis Luton Airport Room Facilities :

All rooms at the Luton Ibis have an en-suite bathroom, satellite TV, a radio, tea and coffee and a phone. Wifi access is available - there is a charge for it. Hairdryers and irons are available from reception.

Internet - Free Wi-fi is available in public areas and is available at a charge in hotel rooms.

Room Service - No.

Ibis Luton Airport Public Facilities :

The spacious café serves light meals and snacks, and the bar has a sun terrace for a relaxing drink. Breakfast buffets are available daily, featuring French pastries, fruit and fresh coffee.

Car Parking: Limited parking for guests on a first come first served basis. Charges not known.

Long term parking packages are available at extremely attractive rates.

Vicinity :

There is little in the immediate vicinity, only the Holiday Inn Express and Ramada Hotels opposite. Otherwise the area is just business premises related to the airport. The nearest shops are at the airport, a 10 minute walk away. Buses are available from outside the hotel into Luton town centre.

Walking Between The Ibis & Luton Airport Terminal

Airport Terminal to Ibis Luton Hotel.

Come out of the passenger terminals and walk over to the right hand side of the bus station. Go past the London bus stops and continue to the roundabout. From here you should find waymarks to 'hotels'. Follow the exit road out of the airport through a short tunnel under the aircraft taxi way. On exiting the tunnel the Holiday Inn Express hotel is on the right hand side of the road at the top of the ramp. Turn right at the junction on which the Holiday Inn Express is sits and immediately left down a short hill to the Ibis.

Ibis Luton To Airport Terminal

Walk up to the the Holiday Inn Express hotel and onto the approach road into the airport.

You will now come to a public bus stop with a remarkably similar view to the bottom image displayed here.

Follow the pavement through the tunnel and up into the terminal complex. When you come to a roundabout follow the signs that direct you along the left hand side of the bus station immediately in front of the airport terminal.

Pass the London bus stop and you are at the airport terminal front door.
