The Ibis Hotel Luton Airport is one of just two hotels on Luton Airport itself. The Ibis Luton Airport is situated directly opposite the other hotel, the Holiday Inn Express Luton Airport.

The hotel is on the other side of the aircraft apron from the passenger terminal at Luton Airport, separated by a tunnel which goes underneath a taxiway. (We have a section further down the page below detailing the walk from hotel to and from the passenger terminals).

There are also buses that ply the short journey to the passenger terminals. These are not complementary hotel shuttles.

Both hotels normally have significantly lower room rates at the weekend than midweek.

If you are comparing hotels, it should be noted that the Holiday Inn Express room rate come with a complementary breakfast - most other hotels including the Ibis Luton Airport are room only.

The Cafe Saint Martin restaurant, a bar with a terrace, a fax machine and a shoe-shining machine.

The restaurant serves light meals and snacks. The hotel also has a bar with a terrace which is open for drinks 24 hours a day. Breakfast is an English and continental buffet.

Airport Terminal Transfers :

There is a shuttle bus between the hotel and the terminal which leaves from the bus stop near the hotel, and the hotel bus pick-up point outside the terminal. It runs from 5am to 11pm and was last advised as costing £1 per person each way.

Its possible (and very easy, if not raining) to walk between the hotel and passenger terminals - we have a walking between Ibis Luton and Luton Airport passenger terminal further down the page.

Vicinity :

There is little in the immediate vicinity, only the Holiday Inn Express hotel opposite. Otherwise the area is just business premises related to the airport. The nearest shops are at the airport, a 10 minute walk away.

Walking Between The Ibis & Luton Airport Terminal (Around 600m)

The walk between the Luton Airport Terminal and the Ibis Luton Airport and Holiday Inn Express Luton Airport is very straight forward. Even with luggage it should take no more than 10 minutes and the pavement is fairly smooth and what kerbs there are to be negotiated have slopes, so its pretty compatible with suitcases on wheels.

Look For The Waymarks Between Terminal and Hotels

Airport Terminal to Ibis Luton Hotel.

Come out of the passenger terminals and walk over to the right hand side of the bus station. There will almost certainly be easyBus/Green Line buses to London parked. Go past the easyBus bus stops and continue to the roundabout. From here you should find waymarks to 'hotels'. Follow the exit road out of the airport through a short tunnel under the aircraft taxi way. Immediately after passing the Holiday Inn Express hotel, turn right and immediately left and down the short hill to the Ibis Luton Airport

Ibis Luton To Airport Terminal

From the front door of the Ibis Luton climb the short hill up to the Holiday Inn Express hotel.

Walk around the right hand side of the Holiday Inn Express hotel on the approach road into the airport.

You will now come to a public bus stop with a remarkably similar view to the image left.

Follow the pavement through the tunnel and up into the terminal complex. When you come to a roundabout follow the signs that direct you along the left hand side of the bus station immediately in front of the airport terminal.

Pass the easyBus/Green Line London buses and bus stop and you are at the airport terminal front door
