London Bed and Breakfast accommodation options offer the most economic rooms in central London.
There is a wide gulf between the various types of London Bed and Breakfast accommodation. The price differential between the cheapest at around £40 for a double/twin room with breakfast or less to well over £100 reflects the wide difference in offerings.

Be not in doubt, the vast majority are not homely houses with a couple of rooms rented out by attentive family owners. These are small simple hotels, with none of the frills. The cheaper ones can be very basic.
The Bed and Breakfast hotels are typically 4, 5 or 6 storey Victorian terraced houses. Many will not have lifts. The main attraction is price, somewhere to safely store your luggage and a simple place to sleep overnight while you spend the day exploring London.
If your purchasing decision is largely going to be triggered by price then our personal view is that the best value Bed and Breakfast options are largely found in the Kings Cross St Pancras Station area, nearly all clustered around Argyle Square opposite both stations. On the other (west) side of London the Earls Court Kensington Bed and Breakfast hotels are good too and very convenient if you are using Heathrow Airport.
