If you are looking for very cheap accommodation and price is your main criteria for choosing accommodation you are well advised to look about 600m down the Euston Road from Euston Station.
Opposite St Pancras and Kings Cross Stations is a cluster of Kings Cross Bed & Breakfast hotels, one of the best value districts in Central London for cheap accommodation.
Its worth noting that room rates around Euston Station are cheaper at the weekends than during the working week. This reflects a large volume of people who come down from the north of England for business, training courses and conferences arriving at Euston station.

In the immediate vicinity, within sight of Euston Station are three no frills hotels, the Ibis Euston, Premier Inn Euston and Travelodge Euston. If you are looking for value for money these will probably be your benchmarks. As mentioned earlier room rates will be significantly lower at weekends and holidays.
If you are looking for a full service 4 star hotel the Hilton Euston, Thistle Euston and Ambassadors Hotel are the most convenient. The Novotel St Pancras is well regarded and is sited mid-way between Euston and St Pancras Stations the main thoroughfare. Just south of Euston, is the Bloomsbury district which has lots more choice and a very nice district to base yourself in London.
