Hotels near Victoria Station in the mid-range sector are mostly found immediately behind Victoria Rail Station and near the coach station. May of the mid-range no frills chains are here including Premier Inn, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Best Western. But don't expect new build, purpose built modern hotels, the chains occupy the same Victorian and Georgian properties, typically of 4 or 5 floors that all but the grandest luxury hotels occupy in this district. This district is dominated by Victoria's cheap bed and breakfast hotels. There is row upon row of 4, 5 or 6 storey Victorian/Georgian terraced houses with which the B&B's reside.
The mid-range hotels are sprinkled around this district intermingled with the cheap hotels, from the exterior its hard to tell them apart.
The larger full service 4 star hotels in Victoria are mostly found around Victoria Station itself or just north and north east of it going down to Westminster.
The Victoria district is a pleasant place to stay. The streets where the hotels are, are surprisingly uncommercial and spacious. Victoria is very close to the major sights, Buckingham Palace is just a 5 minute walk for example.
Victoria is also one of the best places for transport links. There are direct airport links to all four of London's major airports and train services to Dover and coach services to Southampton for cruise ports.
Victoria is also a major transport hub for getting around Central London with 3 Underground lines and countless bus routes that will get you to most places in Central London you want to visit within 15 or 20 minutes.

Victoria Mid Range Hotels - The Right Solution For You?
For leisure travellers at least, price and value for money are normally key purchasing parameters. The hotels in Victoria are so volatile in terms of pricing its hard to give a clean black and white statement. Price for the same room on a June weekend may be three times the cost of the same room mid-week in January. If you can find a hotel in Victoria at a price you are comfortable with Victoria is a great place to base yourself in London, it is very central, a nice environment and great transport links. If prices in Victoria at the time you want to visit London are not acceptable try looking at Kensington or if coming at the weekend in the Southwark and Waterloo Station or Euston districts.
