The Moxy London Heathrow is an affordable yet stylish new brand from Marriott, located a couple of miles from the passenger terminals at Heathrow, on the edge of Cranford, a residential area with a small neighbourhood shopping centre.

 

The Moxy hotel rooms are not large, compared with their sister Marriott brand hotels but manage to have a spacious feel to them, as all furniture has been cleverly designed. Superfast free Wi-Fi and free computers allow you to stay well connected.

There are now three Marriott hotels along the Bath road. The closet to the airport is the Marriott Renaissance Hotel, followed by the London Heathrow Marriott, just a few hundred yards east and then the Moxy a similar distance further east.

The Moxy London Heathrow is on the edge of Cranford, which means unlike most Heathrow hotels you have easy access to local pubs, convenience stores and (fast food orientated) restaurants nearby at prices for the locals.

 

The Moxy London Heathrow has passenger terminal transfer buses running to all four terminals at Heathrow running at least twice an hour.

Moxy London Heathrow Airport transfers to/from passenger terminals

There are 4 passenger terminals at Heathrow numbered 2, 3, 4 and 5. The hotels at Heathrow are not allowed to run their own airport shuttle vehicles between the airport and the hotels.

Hoppa Buses - are regulated by the airport authority and run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 Heathrow airport hotels. Hotels have one bus for Terminals 2 & 3, another for Terminals 4 & 5.

Local buses to passenger terminals

If you have light luggage you can catch a number of public buses from in front of the hotel to the Central Bus Station at Heathrow, between Terminals 2 and 3.

 

You can catch the Heathrow Express train from below Terminal 3 to Terminals 4 and 5 free of charge. Buses 105 and 111 do the journey direct running about every 10 minutes. The 105 runs a 24/7 schedule. Fares are broadly half that of the Hoppa Buses but you cannot buy tickets on the bus.

There is quite a good selection of pubs, convenience stores and restaurants within easy walking distance offering much lower prices than the hotel. There is a large choice of local buses that can take you to local towns, even perhaps some sightseeing at Windsor or Hampton Court.
