Stratford Upon Avon
Birthplace of William Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the English language, and home to the theatres of the famous Royal Shakespeare Company. A river winds its way through the town past Holy Trinity church, where Shakespeare is buried.

There are half-wooden buildings which date back to Shakespeare's time, including the cottage of Anne Hathaway, who married the writer in 1582. You will visit Shakespeare's birthplace, before lunch in a 15th century pub in the picturesque Cotswolds.

Oxford
Oxford boasts one of the world's greatest and oldest universities, as well as some of the finest architecture in Europe. The colleges themselves are amongst the highlights, their ivy-clad stone walls protecting beautiful chapels, halls and libraries. Take a private tour away from the crowds which journeys through the Alice in Wonderland Gardens (normally out of bounds to the public) where Alice chased her Cheshire cat.
