Panorama (Golden Tours / Grey Line) Open Top Bus Tour

Hop On , Hop Off or 3 Hour Fixed Length Double Deck Sightseeing Bus

The Panorama Open Top Bus Tour is the new kid on the block as far as the hop-on, hop off buses are concerned challenging the long established players Original London Tour and the Big Bus Tour.

The basic format remains the same for all three competitors, a hop-on, hop off bus service stopping at all the major tourist attractions supplemented by a river cruise and walking tours.

The major difference / innovation of the Panorama Open Top service is that it also offers a fixed 3 hour tour option. For a much cheaper price than the hop-on, hop off service you take one circuit of the main bus route. This takes around 3 hours.

You are not allowed to get off the bus or have access to the river cruise or walking tours.

Panorama Tour Routes

The Panorama offer two main routes (the red tour and blue tour) You can switch from one to another as you please if you buy the Hop On, Hop Off Ticket.

If you buy the 3 hour ticket then you take the main route, the blue route.

Blue & Red Tour Routes

The blue route is the flagship core sightseeing tour with a live English speaking commentary or audio guides as an alternative.

Unlike the Big Bus and the Original London Tour the second tour route (the red route) is not there to cover attractions outside the core route, but primarily is a shorter version of the blue route, duplicating the busiest sections.

The primary aim of the red route is thus to increase frequencies, not to provide more complete coverage. The route visits all the major sights of Central London.

Compared to the Original London Tour and Big Bus the big omission in coverage is Bloomsbury, whose main attraction is the British Museum and north of Hyde Park covering the Bayswater/Paddington hotel districts.

The blue tour operate every 30 minutes depending on season. A complete circuit takes 3 hours.

Tours begin at 09.00 with the service running down between 16.00 and 18:00 hours.

3 Hour Tour Route

The 3 hour tour option is one circuit of the blue route that takes around 3 hours.

You are not allowed to get off the bus or have access to the river cruise or walking tours made available if you buy the Hop On, Hop Off tickets..

Free River Cruise

Enjoy a complimentary river trip included in your Panorama Hop on, Hop Off bus ticket.

You are allowed one trip on the Thames Clipper service. The most popular trip is from the Tower of London to the London Eye, but there are alternatives.

Frequencies are approximately every 20 minutes in the Summer and every 30-40 minutes in the Winter.

Free Walking Tours

Two walking tours are made available for those purchasing the Hop On, Hop Off tickets.

You may join as many of the walks as you wish. These relaxed walking tours give you the opportunity to learn about a specific part of London history.

The Walking Tours last approximately 1.5 hours - 2 hours and leave from the Trafalgar Square.
