By far
the most popular option connecting Heathrow and Luton are the frequent
bus / coach shuttles between Heathrow and Luton airports. These are
run by National
Express Airport.
The service takes around an hour in normal traffic conditions. We
recommend you have at least 3 hours between landing at one airport
and checking in at the other. |

Express Bus Heathrow to Luton
National Express run up to around 30 services a day between Heathrow
and Luton Airport and vice-versa. All coaches are scheduled to have
toilets on board. There is at least one coach an hour between 05:00
and 24:00.
The coaches are long distance coaches and are very comfortable. There
are at least 3 stops on the route:
Heathrow
Terminal 5
Heathrow Central Bus Station (Terminals 1,2,3,4),
Luton Airport Terminal
Many buses will make a further stop between Heathrow and Luton at
Hemel Hempstead adding 15 minutes to the journey. Coaches may show
an ultimate destination beyond the airports concerned.

The route between Heathrow and Luton is along heavily congested motorway/freeway.
Bus timetables assume a clear run.
Mondays to Fridays between 06:30 and 10:00 and 15:00 to 19:00 heavy traffic
congestion is routine.
