The Days Inn Stansted is by the M11 motorway interchange with Stansted Airport, just outside the main airport entrance, (see map at bottom of page) The hotel is situated on the Birchanger Green motorway services area.

This is one of the most economical of the no frills Stansted Airport hotels.

The front entrance of the Days Hotel is yards from the Welcome Break facility on the motorway services area with a good choice of food outlets as an alternative to the hotel. You therefore have a wide choice of food options on your doorstop from fast food to 'proper' meals.

The Days Inn Stansted is yards from its sister hotel the Days Hotel Stansted built in 2009 to providing additional capacity for the very popular Days Inn, the original hotel at this location.

Transfers Between Days Inn Stansted and Stansted Airport :

Unfortunately the Days Hotel no longer runs its own shuttle to Stansted Airport

Local public buses including routes 308 and 510 run from Stansted Airport bus station to Bishops Stortford and stop beside the motorway service area at Birchanger. You can walk into the Days Inn and the service area facilities from the bus stop.

(Note: the path is not signed, the path to the bus stop cuts through the earth bank from the corner of the Days Inn Car Park at its north-west corner. Coming the other way, when you get off the bus the path is a few yards further along the road on your left from the bus stop. The bus stop is the Birchanger service area bus stop.)

Otherwise its a local taxi for the approximately 3 mile journey costing around £10 each way.

The hotel is inside Birchanger Services on the M11. Birchanger Services is at the Stansted Airport junction of the M1. There are entrances and exits from the service area onto local roads. The services are on the outer suburbs of Bishops Stortford, the nearest major town. Public buses run into town from outside the services area.
