The De Salis Hotel Stansted Airport is a recently built hotel on the edge of the airport but away from from the main flight path.

The hotel offers cheap Stansted hotel rooms and is just north of the airport in open countryside within sight of the terminal buildings. The hotels rural setting is hard to believe given its proximity to a major international airport.

The hotel operates its own shuttle van between Stansted Airport and the hotel, (chargeable). The hotel is quite isolated, like most serving Stansted. It has its own popular restaurant. If you don't have your own vehicle the nearest pub is 10 minutes walk along an unlit road.

Transfers Between De Salis Hotel Stansted and Airport :

It takes just about 7 minutes by shuttle van between the Stansted passenger terminal and the hotel. The DeSalis Airport Shuttle Van is available to the airport around the clock and up until midnight from the airport.

A charge of £4.50 per person each way was last advised. However, discounts are available for bookings of more than 2 people.

Vicinity :

The hotel is in open countryside just north east of the airport, the terminal complex can be seen from the hotel. For a major London Airport the countryside is surprisingly undeveloped.

There is little in the immediate area but flat agricultural land. A typically English Pub (The Three Horse Shoes) is about a 10 minute walk away.
