No Frills Budget Rooms For Stansted Airport

The Travelodge Stansted Bishops Stortford is unlike most Travelodge hotels you will stay in. It was built only recently in spacious grounds as a 3/4 star Best Western hotel and has in 2010 been converted into a Travelodge. So as you drive up the long driveway through landscaped grounds, yes you are in the right place, this is a Travelodge.

The Travelodge is not in Bishops Stortford itself, but very close to the M11 motorway interchange with Stansted Airport, just outside the main airport entrance. Birchanger services are about 1km away.

The 'other' Stansted Travelodge - Stansted Great Dunmow is much further away from Stansted on the eastern side of the airport, but has a very fast road connection.

There is no transfer facility provided by either Travelodge to the airport so those without cars might look at the Holiday Inn Express Stansted closer to the airport and with its own shuttle bus.
