The major influence on hotels around Tower Bridge is the City of London financial area all around it with the financial sector dominating.
The City is one of the major financial centres of the world so traditionally hotels in the area have tried to cater for this largely affluent market.
However at the weekends the financial area is like a ghost town, a lot of businesses close down even. Room rates around Tower Bridge tumble during the weekends and holidays when the financiers are away.
The area around the Tower of London and Tower Bridge is a fascinating place to stay. Along the river things don't close down as much as inland towards Bank and Liverpool Street.
