Perhaps confusingly there is another chain well represented in London with a similar name, Double Tree by Hilton for which we have a separate dedicated page.
DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton are both ultimately owned by the same company but are run as separate brands with their own identities. Both address the the same full service luxury hotel market.
Like all luxury hotels in London rates fluctuate quite dramatically, even day by day for the same room. As a broad guide if the hotel is in a business orientated district of London, room rates will be cheaper at the weekend, leisure oriented districts the reverse.
Hilton hotels in London are broadly split into two categories. At the budget end of the Hilton hotels in Central London are the Hilton Kensington, Hilton Olympia, Hilton Islington and Hilton Metropole. These are used extensively by tour groups, aircrew etc and can have very low promotional prices on slower dates. The hotels are a little inconvenient compared with the more central Hilton hotels. However, a 15 minute bus or underground trip will have you most places you want to go in Central London.

In the very centre of London are the flagship Hilton hotels, the Waldorf and Hilton Park Lane, both 5 star hotels.
The ultimate in convenience for those flying into Heathrow airport is the Hilton Paddington, part of Paddington Station itself - walk directly from the Heathrow Express train into the reception of the Hilton Paddington. The Hilton Metropole is just a few hundred yards away as well and often has rooms at a fraction of the price of the Hilton Paddington.
For those flying into Gatwick airport the Hilton Tower Bridge is close to London Bridge with frequent trains to and from Gatwick.
