Oxford - what to expect

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter

Following on from your visit to Oxford you will enjoy a four hour visit to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter, at the same studio where many of the eight Harry Potter films were shot.

Dozens of spectacular sets await you; much loved places from the films such as the Forbidden Forest, Hogwarts Great Hall, Diagon Alley, Gringotts Bank and the Hogwarts Express. In addition there are heaps of interactive opportunities, animatronics and thousands of intricate wizarding props.

The latest attraction to arrive at the Studio in 2022 was Professor Sprout's Greenhouse (see below for more details).

After your visit to the Warner Bros Studio Tour, your Harry Potter day trip ends and your coach will return you to London.

Discovering Hogwarts: 2nd May - 4th September 2023

2023 marks the Studio's 11th birthday! To commemorate this special occasion the Harry Potter Studio is putting on a special exhibition Discovering Hogwarts.

From the moment you arrive at the iconic boat scene and witness a candle lit Great Hall, you'll be taken back to the earliest memories of Harry's time at the wizarding school.

Come face to face with the famous half-giant of Hogwarts, Rubeus Hagrid, as you get in touch with your inner eleven year old and see Gringotts and Diagon Alley as if for the first time.

Discovering Hogwarts will run throughout the summer and take you back to those wonderful moments from Harry’s first years at Hogwarts.

Dark Arts: 15th September - 5th November 2023

Like every Halloween, The Warner Bros. Studio knows how to deliver a thrilling exploration of all things Dark Arts.

Those famous floating pumpkins will of course make their annual appearance, over the great tables laden with the spooky feast.

As always you can follow the Dark Mark - the symbol of Lord Voldemort projected throughout the Studio Tour - mark them on your passport as you go around.

Enjoy learning wand combat with the interactive display of the wand choreographer Paul Harris (he of Order of the Phoenix through to Deathly Hallows fame).

Hogwarts in the Snow: 11th September - 14th January 2024

Yule at the Studio is a truly breathtaking experience, and a festive treat not to be missed. People return time and again for Hogwarts in the Snow, as they see their favourite film sets draped in festive finery. You'll be hypnotised by the tranquil snow falling on your shoulders as you step outside into the cold air of the courtyard and discover Number 4 Privet Drive, the Knight Bus, Godric's Hollow and the Hogwarts Bridge.

Learn the secrets behind ice that never melts and fire that doesn’t burn and see a blanket of film-making snow covering the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley and the magnificent Hogwarts castle model.
