Private Day Tours

On many surveys of people who have visited London, one of their main memories of London was using public transport.

London has a very good public transport system and for by far the majority of visitors is the everyday way they travel around town. Even if you take taxis all day, you should at least ride the London Underground once for the experience.

Similarly London's famous red double deck buses give you a great view perched up high

If you've never been to London before, one of the most effective and enjoyable ways of becoming orientated is to take the Hop On, Hop Off tour buses on the first day. There are two main companies who operate these and both visit all the main sights of London on several routes, each with a full commentary.
You can stay on the bus for a full lap of London, get orientated, listen and be informed of what you are seeing and then make an informed choice of what is likely to be of interest to you.
You can then use the bus to transport you between the places you want to see.

One of the strengths of London is the shear variety of things to do and see, there is truly something for everyone.
On the right hand side of this page you will see a menu that should naturally point you towards the areas that will probably interest you personally.

Of the classic tourist sights, a good proportion are a mix of religion, royalty and history. If you are really interested in this area and the likes of the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral are not enough, then remember on the outskirts of London is Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle . Both easily reached by public transport from the centre.

London has a full range of world class museums and art galleries - best of all in what can be an expensive city, all the biggest ones are free to enter. If you have the slightest interest in the subject of the museum, you'll probably spend the whole day in museums like the British Museum, V&A Museum, Science Museum and Imperial War Museum.

Shopping can be the sole reason for some visitors to London. Again there is something for everyone. We have a self guided London shopping walk that takes you through the main shopping districts.

Similarly Theatre, Concerts and Sports are world class with world class performers constantly passing through.

If you are staying more than a couple of days, then its worth considering getting outside London and seeing the real England.

Every day a fleet of coaches leave London on day tours. The most popular destinations are Stonehenge, Bath, Oxford, The Cotswolds, Windsor and Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon.

There is probably something that fits your interests and most tours will pick up from your hotel or a hotel very close by.
