The London Bridge Experience

The London Bridge Experience and London Tombs

London Bridge Experience
The London Bridge Experience is one of the scariest attractions in London

What is the London Bridge Experience? The London Bridge Experience offers two experiences in one package: an educational and an immersive theatre experience followed by a visit to the old site of the London Tombs, deep below London Bridge station.

To get to the London Tombs you will descend into a haunted-house style maze; The Tombs are definitely a 'scare attraction', not for the faint-hearted!

Located on the south bank of the River Thames, on the edge of London Bridge, The London Bridge Experience is easily located opposite London Bridge Station.

On this page we discuss your London Bridge Experience ticket options and what to expect when visiting.

For the classic scarefest in London see also our writeup on The London Dungeon.

What to expect at The London Bridge Experience

London Bridge Experience
Actors bring the London Bridge Experience to life

London Bridge Experience

The first part of The London Bridge Experience is the part most suitable for all age groups. This is the historical, educational, immersive 'theatre' experience, which starts in the Roman times. Nothing is held back, all the senses are activated as you see, hear and even smell what London Bridge was like throughout the ages.

You meet characters such as Queen Boudica's Iceni tribe; watching them take on the Roman army, Jack The Ripper and Ben Crouch and "The Keeper of The Heads".

You'll also experience what London Bridge would have been like in medieval times; the Chapel of Thomas Becket and London Bridge as the Great Fire of London takes hold and sweeps the city.

London Tombs

The next part of your tour is the truly grisly bit: enter through the vortex and land at The London Tombs - quite possibly the "UK's Scariest Attraction."

Demons, evil clowns, nesting spiders, a maniac butcher and walls dripping in blood is just some of what lies in wait...

Note: you don't have to enter the tombs, you have the option of leaving after the first section of the attraction - or alternatively explore the child's version of the London Tombs (see below).

Guardian Angel - London Tombs for children (the safe version)

The Guardian Angel tour is the special children’s tour of The London Tombs. Children under 11 and their adult are led through the tombs with their very own Guardian Angel on an adventure through what the Zombies call home. During this tour there are no zombies there to jump out.

Are there any age restrictions at The London Bridge Experience?

While there is no age restriction in the London Bridge Experience, due to the grisly nature of the experience, the London Tombs particularly is probably not suitable for younger children. Children up to the age of 15 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
