The Sofitel Hotel Gatwick is a large eight storey, four star hotel connected to the North Terminal. The Sofitel Hotel Gatwick is connected to the South Terminal where the bus and train stations are by a free monorail link.

There is a free monorail service to the South Terminal where the main railway station, the transport of choice for most transferring to London. Local buses visit the North Terminal servicing local towns with entertainment and restaurant alternatives.

Airport Transfers :
Hotel is linked to North Terminal.
Please note that the Inter Terminal Transit System (monorail) that links North Terminal with South Terminal where the train stations are will close to passengers on the 28th of September 2009.
New shuttles will come into service in May and July 2010. The airport will be running a replacement bus service every three minutes during the day and every six minutes at night between the terminals. You should allow 20 minutes for the journey.

Vicinity :
There is little in the immediate vicinity other than the airport. There are frequent trains into the neighbouring towns of Redhill and Crawley where there are shops and other entertainment.

If you have time to kill trains go both into London and to the coast both about the same distance away. The Gatwick Express takes 30 minutes into London.
There is a free monorail service every few minutes from the North Terminal to the South Terminal where the main train station is for London and other points.
