The Sofitel Hotel Gatwick is a large eight storey 4-star hotel linked to Gatwick Airport's North Terminal by a short, covered walkway. It features 3 restaurants, and spacious en suite rooms with satellite TV. A free monorail runs every couple of minutes to the South Terminal from beside the hotel.

At Gatwick, the Sofitel joined to the North Terminal and the Hilton Hotel Gatwick joined to the South Terminal are the only full service hotels you can walk to directly to from the airport terminals. Within sight of the North Terminal and for many people easily walked to is the Premier Inn Gatwick Central, a mid-range hotel where rooms are much cheaper than either Sofitel or Hilton.
